Horizon Scholarship

Presented by: The Junior League of Murfreesboro

Each year the JLM awards this scholarship to a high school senior woman who is a resident of Rutherford County, accepted to and attending a four year college/university, and exhibits strong leadership through exemplary volunteerism in her school, church, and/or community. The young woman should be entering college in the fall of 2023 and have a 3.25 or higher grade average. The award of $1,000.00 is granted for one semester and is renewable for an additional seven semesters, or a potential total of $8,000. Renewal of this scholarship will be assessed at the end of each semester between the scholarship recipient and the Scholarship Committee. Maintenance of a 3.25 GPA is necessary to continue with the scholarship. Recipients are required to submit grades at the end of each semester.

Applicants must be prepared to submit a letter of recommendation, High School Transcript and Proof of Acceptance to a four year College or University. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
